Handbuilding for Beginners, 9 Tuesdays, 9:30-12:30 with Fallon Navarro

Have you been wanting to get your hands dirty with a pottery class but are unsure how to jump in? We welcome you to get started with this class! Learn the basics of clay in a relaxing setting and you will be surprised at what you can create that’s beautiful, functional, and uniquely yours. We will work with slabs, coils, and other building techniques, as well as different methods of surface decoration. You will also learn multiple ways to glaze your pieces. 

 

This class is appropriate for any level of potter, but will be geared towards beginners.

 

*All classes include 25 pounds of clay and the glazing and firing of those 25#, though we encourage you to pay what you can for materials, as costs continue to rise. You will be provided an option on checkout to pay for your clay. Additional clay may be purchased if needed. Beginner tool kits may be purchased for $32 ($34 including tax).

Classes also include ample access to the studio during posted open studio hours. Ceramics is an art form that benefits from practice and social time outside of class time.

Refunds will not be given within one week of the beginning of class. A $25 processing fee will be retained from any refund. If a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.
