Slab Building the Sculptural Vessel

This class will be a 6 week exploration of the sculptural vessel through slab building. I will guide you through a wide variety of techniques using the slab as a building block to make forms that are interesting and complex. Soft and hard slab work, pattern making, texture and surface decoration, assembly and FUN will all be part of the curriculum. No beginners, please.
*6 week classes include a half bag of clay and the glazing and firing of that clay#, though we encourage you to pay what you can for materials, as costs continue to rise. You will be provided an option on checkout to pay for your clay. Additional clay may be purchased if needed. Beginner tool kits may be purchased for $32 ($34 including tax).
Classes also include ample access to the studio during posted open studio hours. Ceramics is an art form that benefits from practice and social time outside of class time.
Refunds will not be given within one week of the beginning of class. A $25 processing fee will be retained from any refund. If a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.
