Handmade pottery elevates and personalizes the dinner table. Learn the art and craft of creating dinnerware and tableware related objects. From serving bowls to casseroles, dinner and desert plates that relate to each other in size and form, to table decor from candlesticks to vases… all are possible in this survey class. We will begin the class by creating a menu of our favorite dishes. Ryder will build demonstrations around serving ware and placeware for the student-driven menu and we will culminate the class with a dinner party from our own wares! No beginners, please, but those who prefer handbuilding or the pottery wheel will be able to adapt all demonstrations.
All classes include 25 pounds of clay, and the glazing and firing of those 25# though we encourage you to pay what you can for this material, as costs continue to rise. You will be given an option to pay what you wish upon checkout. Classes also include ample access to the studio during posted open studio hours. Ceramics is an art form that benefits from practice and social time outside of class time.

Refunds will not be given within one week of the beginning of class. A $25 processing fee will be retained from any refund. If a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.
