Do you wake up hungry? Have you always wanted your own breakfast/brunch specific pottery? Want to explore some interesting new thrown forms? In this class we will focus on tableware for your morning routine – coffee pour-overs, berry bowls with plate, egg cups, charcuterie boards, spoons (on the wheel!!), sugar containers, small pourers and, of course, mugs! This class is open to all students who have had introductory level throwing – students should be able to center and throw a bowl and cylinder. The class will review plates and handles – we will use these skills to create some of the more complex forms. (ex. If we want our coffee pour-over to have a dish base, we need to know how to create that plate first!).
*All classes include 25 pounds of clay, and the glazing and firing of those 25#. Additional clay may be purchased if needed. Beginner tool kits may be purchased for $32 plus tax ($34).
Classes also include ample access to the studio during posted open studio hours. Ceramics is an art form that benefits from practice and social time outside of class time.
Refunds will not be given within one week of the beginning of class. A $25 processing fee will be retained from any refund. If a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be given.
